The Race

All are welcome at our Relays. Universities, Schools, Clubs, or you and a bunch of mates. Team prizes are only on offer to teams that are entirely made up of current or past Students at the same University, members of the same affiliated Club, or Students at the same School, however fastest leg prizes are on offer to all athletes.

The race is very popular with traditional regular attendances from a number of University and Club teams.

Women compete in teams of 3, men in teams of 6 each covering the same 2.1 mile course.

Registration, changing and prize giving will all take place in the Whythenshawe Sports Ground Pavillion, so no need to keep moving about!

The Venue

The race is held in south Manchester at The University of Manchester's Wythenshawe Sports Ground.

Comprehensive changing facilities are available with vending machines and the trusty burger bar for those gastric emergencies.

The race is run over fields which makes it suitable for spikes. The course is entirely enclosed and traffic free.

After Party

UMACCC hosts an after party for friends of the club. This typically includes a meal at one of the fine establishments on Rusholme's 'curry mile', beer racing, and a prebooked night out in 'Madchester'. If you or your club need a place to stay on either the Friday or Saturday nights then contact one of the Cross Country Captains.
